Cruisin'

Eileen received a couple of fun ride-on toys for her birthday and Christmas.  At the time, I don't think she was ready to play with them, but she has been obsessed with them lately.

At first, there was a little confusion as to how she should use her toy:

But with just a little practice, she's really gotten the hang of it!

I Took a Break

I've been gone from the blog for a while because we have been moving.

We moved to a bigger house about two miles from where we were living.  So we're still in Beatrice.  I'll post more on this when we get completely moved in.  Right now, things are still in boxes...

Eileen is really enjoying the extra space in the new house...

She is also loving my computer.

Sunday Morning

On Sunday, David read in bed while Eileen slept and I began getting ready for church.
Eileen was in a hilarious sleeping position!

Baby in a Basket

Eileen loves to get into things.

I don't mean that she just likes to tear things apart and check them out.
I mean that she literally likes to get IN things.  Like wagons.  Or baskets.
She had a great time at the law office last week playing in the basket where some of her toys usually live.

Gaines Ridge

On Thursday, Chichi and Deda took us to Gaines Ridge for dinner.
Gaines Ridge is a restaurant in an antebellum home in Camden, AL.  It's owned by Mrs. Betty Kennedy, who is a spectacular cook.
Gaines Ridge

Eileen was ready to go...

And when she got there, Mrs. Debra Dailey gave her an old metal teapot to play with.

Eileen LOVES teapots.
She had fun taking the lid off and putting it on.  And stuffing it full of crackers.

And when Eileen got bored, her Dad, Daddy Dave, and Chichi took turns walking her around the restaurant and showing her off.
Eileen was a perfect little diner!
And when she got home, she was worn out and ready to go to bed (happy parents!).

Naptime

Eileen's favorite place to nap?

In our recliner.  She loves to be laid across the seat and to be covered with a certain quilt.

Looks so cozy!

Eileen's Wagon

Eileen's new favorite thing to do?

Ride in her wagon!
This is Eileen last Easter when the Easter Bunny brought her the wagon.  She couldn't sit up in it without help from her Bumbo seat.
Eileen, April 2011
Now that Eileen is such a big girl, she loves to sit in her wagon and ride around the yard.  Or around Beatrice.

She has a super-cushy seat now.  We bought a cat bed for Larry Bird (our cat), but he has never shown any interest in using it.  However, it is just the right size for a little red wagon!

Eileen's bunny hat has been designated her riding hat that she must wear when she's in the wagon or stroller on a cold day.  Riding is the only time that Eileen will tolerate a hat.

Family portrait on my birthday!
