Cute Pictures

I am sure that Eileen will want to kill me for posting these pictures when she's a teenager.

But they're just too cute not to share:

Eileen, playing on her laptop after bathtime on Saturday

After we got home from church on Sunday, Eileen "worked" on her laptop.  That time, she had on a few more clothes:

She's very into her computer.  What a 21st Century baby!

Eileen Loves Being a Girl

Eileen is so lucky to have a doting aunt and two wonderful uncles (in addition to so many loving, awesome great aunts and great uncles).

Eileen with Aunt Amy
Having a blast with Uncle Adam

Eileen with Uncle Thomas
Aunt Amy bought a learning purse for Eileen when she came to visit.
The purse sings, and it contains a hand-held mirror, "lipstick" (which is actually a rattle), a bracelet, plastic keys, and some play money.

Eileen LOVES it.

Eileen applying her "lipstick"- just like mommy

...not quite how a mirror is supposed to work

Getting into her purse.  The purse sings to her when she opens it.

Eileen is such a girly-girl.

Boo-Boo

Subtitle: The Spoiling of Eileen

On Saturday, we were at Miss Minnie's.  Eileen's Mumsie was getting ready to wrap a gift for a friend's baby.  The gift included this musical duck toy:

Eileen saw it and DOVE out of Mumsie's arms for the duck.  She dove straight into the table.

For her efforts, she earned a little bump and bruise on her forehead.  She cried.  For just a second.

And then Mumsie gave Eileen the duck toy and sought another gift for her friend's baby.  Eileen was all smiles.

And that is how Eileen became spoiled.

I guess it's a grandparent's right.

Multi-Purpose "Furniture"

Eileen was happily playing on the floor.

All of a sudden, a confused look crossed her face...

Why, Eileen?  Why are you so perplexed?

Oh, I see.

Daddy is using your Red Sled walker as a desk/end table.

By the way, that looks less like legal work and a whole lot like Solitaire.  :)

Peek-A-Boo!

Eileen is obsessed with playing Peek-A-Boo.

She will pull a blanket over her head.  Adults are expected to express concern and wonder where the baby has gone.

Then she will lower it.

And look at the adults.

And you are expected to say "PEEK-A-BOO!!!"

And Eileen grins.  Sometimes she squeals.

Then, we Repeat.

She sometimes tries to play with things that will not hide her face.  Like her doll or her crunchy picture toy or her stuffed doggy or even her dress or bib.

Peek-A-Boo with the bib

Peek-A-Boo with the crunchy picture toy thingy

Peek-A-Boo with the baby doll
Peek-A-Boo with her dress

Peek-A-Boo with her stuffed doggy

Those attempts are not so successful.

However, they are hilarious.

Seven Months Old!

Eileen turned Seven Months Old on Wednesday!

She weighs in at a little over 19.5 pounds, and she is primarily wearing size 12 month clothes.

She loves to play peek-a-boo.

Eileen can't crawl yet, but she can "scoot" around to get wherever she wants to go.

Eileen is also getting into everything!  Looks like it's time to babyproof our house.

She's finally got her first tooth, and the second tooth must not be far behind.  Eileen chews on anything she can get into her mouth.

It's a little hard to get her to smile now.  She keeps "chewing" on her lips.   I blame it on the teeth.

Eileen is a great eater.  She's really got the hang of this eating thing, and she's enthusiastic.  It's very good, especially considering that Eileen has only been eating solid foods for a month.  What a quick learner!

It's been a fast seven months!  We love our little girl!
