Where Have I Been?

Hi!

I just got back from the beach!

Eileen was ready to go to the beach

She even tried to climb out of her crib

We stopped to eat at Mellow Mushroom on the way.

I know that you're not supposed to eat at a chain pizza restaurant when you go to the beach, but David and I loved eating at Mellow when we were law students at the University of Alabama, and we try to eat at the Mellow in Foley whenever we can.  Also, Mellow Mushroom usually doesn't have a wait like many of the seafood restaurants do.

We stopped at Publix (see, we hit all of the wonderful, fun things that you no longer take for granted when you live in the middle of nowhere!) to buy baby food.

Eileen was given her FIRST BALOON!  

She loved it.

I also worked a lot at the law office and even went to court in Mobile on Friday...

We went on a Steele family vacation with David's parents, his grandparents, and his aunt & uncle and their five kids.

Eileen found out how to crawl under an end table.  She liked being "hidden" under there.

Deda crawled down there to play with her.

After all of her crawling and pulling up, Eileen had worked up quite an appetite.

This is her enjoying some delicious Spinach baby food .

It rained all weekend, but we still had a great time.  Eileen loved playing with her family- what a lucky little girl!
