Eileen is apparently an Auburn fan...

I grew up as a Tennessee football fan, and I went to Duke and am a huge Duke basketball fan.  David grew up cheering for Auburn, which is where he attended college.  We agreed that as a compromise, Eileen would be an Auburn football fan and a Duke basketball fan.

It seems to have worked out well.   In the year of Eileen's birth, Duke won the national title in men's basketball and Auburn won in football.

Eileen was born on Monday, November 22.  This was four days before the Iron Bowl- the end of season matchup between Auburn and Alabama.

Eileen got all dressed up in her Auburn clothes...

So did her daddy:

She slept right through the horrible first half.  Smart girl.

 And woke up in time to cheer the Tigers to victory.

David is a little superstitious when it comes to Auburn, so Eileen wore the same outfit for the SEC Championship game.  I'm convinced she contributed to Auburn's victory:

"Touchdown" 

There was no question about what Eileen would wear when she watched the National Championship:

Because she is such a big Auburn fan, Eileen insisted that David and I host a party for the game.  We invited the five other people in Monroe county who didn't go to Glendale to the game.

He got Eileen to take a nap, even though Auburn's mediocre play in the first half made her a little fussy.

At the end of the night, Auburn was the national champion and Eileen was pooped!

The next day, Eileen celebrated by wearing the adorable onesie that Mrs. Beth painted for her... she really likes it.
