Our Weekend

Eileen got to meet so many people this weekend.

Because Mumsie had to go to the market in Atlanta to shop for Miss Minnie's, Daddy Dave was on his own for the weekend.  On Friday, he invited Eileen, David, and me over to eat steaks and relax in front of the fire.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  We also learned that, like her daddy, Eileen really likes to dance to the music of Ricky Skaggs.  She grins and kicks her feet to "Country Boy."  David was SO proud.

On Saturday morning, Eileen had her first trip to Finklea's for breakfast.

She got all bundled up in her adorable panda hat and her SOFT blanket (thanks, Paige!)

Eileen's daddy dressed her for her first Finklea's breakfast.  The feet of her PJs were fuzzy chicks.

Mrs. Margaret held her

Mrs. Cathy rocked her to sleep.  Mrs. Cathy has a lot of grandkids and she's really good with babies :)

While at Finkea's, we weighed Eileen on the seed scale.  She was 11 pounds, 6 ounces!

Then our friend Alex texted us and said she was driving to Birmingham.  So, David, Eileen, and I drove to Greenville and met Alex for lunch at Cracker Barrel.  I think that Eileen and Alex are now great friends.

By the way, Alex is awesome and got us the table right in front of the fireplace.

At least eight people stopped us while we were at Cracker Barrel to comment on how pretty Eileen is.  I was one proud mama!

On Sunday, we got up and went to church.  Eileen got to wear another beautiful gown that belonged to her daddy.

After church, we ate lunch at Chichi and Deda's.

And then we came home to a special treat: Margaret and Jeremy came to visit!

Eileen loved being held by Mrs. Margaret and Mr. Jeremy.  She loves attention!

We had a great weekend and Eileen was completely exhausted at the end of it.  She let us sleep for six consecutive hours!

And then it was back to work on Monday...
